Ada and the Music Machine

Ada Lovelace sees something others miss in Charles Babbage's proposed Analytical Engine: a machine might do more than calculate numbers. Inspired by patterns in mathematics and music, she develops an algorithm for the machine and imagines a future in which computers could create music, art, and much more.
